Demonstrated skills to help our County Government provide high quality services efficiently. Lynn supported increasing paramedics and Sheriff's deputies to address emergency responder burnout and safety concerns. During the Great Recession, Lynn's leadership found ways to Do More With Less by saving the County government and taxpayers over $116,000/year in utilities, communication and jail costs. Lynn initiated audits and strategic implementation plans to redesign two departments to better outcomes.
Demonstrated success as grant writer and project manager. Lynn worked with CNHP and GOCO to secure $225,000 for Ouray County to receive an update of our Natural Heritage Inventory to identify special flora and fauna within Ouray County and the effects of climate change. Lynn identified a way to qualify the Corbet Creek Bridge Crossing project for $1.034 Million in Congressionaly Directed funding which will improve public safety and prevent future washouts of County Road 17. Between 2017-2020, Lynn secured over $1.1 Million of grant funds for COVID response, solar energy generation and GHG reduction projects, and geohazard studies.
