It only takes two Commissioners to change Ouray County's trajectory and put special interests ahead of the greater good. I will continue to put people and safety ahead of party ideology and divisive politics. I will continue to protect our rural values and heritage while providing informed and reasonable decision-making. I will continue to go line-by-line through the budget so that we remain fiscally responsible for funding our needs sustainably.

 

My mission as your Elected Official and Public Servant:

 Live by the Golden Rule;
 Be a representative and ambassador for all of Ouray County;
 Account for and spend tax dollars responsibly, efficiently, and transparently;
 Continue to find ways for our local government to maintain and improve the quality and accessibility of our essential county services;
 Quickly and effectively respond to needs and concerns of the residents of the county;
 Conduct business in an open and professional manner without favoritism;
 Make informed, intelligent, fact-based, and transparent decisions;
 Protect historic public access routes to our public lands;
  Prevent and heal recreational resource damage in our alpine areas;
 Honor our Master Plan and Land use Code while protecting lawful private property rights, water rights, and encouraging steady, smart growth, long-term housing, and diversified economic opportunities;
 Improve collaboration and communication between the County government, stakeholders, and the public;
 Fight unwanted unfunded mandates and implement place-based policies and programs.
